Dr. Daniel Bernstein has been a licensed acupuncturist since 1995.  It was at the New York Center for Pain Management that he learned many methods to help people in pain get relief for post-operative pain, sports related trauma, muscular pain and repetitive stress. Acupuncture can stimulate the body’s own anti-inflammatory hormones thus providing relief from sciatica, arthritis, or even crippling migraines.

Studies suggest that acupuncture is more be effective, and safer than, surgery, steroids, NSAIDs, injections and anticonvulsant drugs to treat pain without side effects or risk.  Acupuncture can:

  • Promote faster healing by improving blood flow to affected area
  • Lessen bruising
  • Reduce swelling and inflammation
  • Decrease/eliminate pain altogether
  • Increase the range of motion and flexibility of the affected joint
  • Decrease muscle spasm
