Ease Stress With Acupuncture

Many are finding they can ease stress levels with acupuncture and without resorting to medication. For many of us, the daily routine of life has become a laundry list of mind jangling tasks that induce stress and take a toll on our minds and, ultimately, on our bodies. Over time, stress can deplete our precious nutrients, essential neural response, immune defenses and serenity.

Aside from the emotional drain and obvious damage to the heart, stress can lead to:

  • Frozen shoulder
  • Stiff neck
  • Backache
  • Migraines
  • Insomnia
  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Menstrual irregularity
  • Gastric disorders.
  • A landmark 20-year study conducted by the University of London concluded that unmanaged reactions to stress were a more dangerous risk factor for cancer and heart disease than either cigarette smoking or high cholesterol foods.

When working with stress clients, I design a personalized treatment plan to help a patient regain a sense of control and pleasure in life, using only treatment modalities that engage the body’s own healing capabilities.

Among the most effective ones are:

  • Acupuncture
  • Hypnosis and guided imagery
  •  Supplement Therapy

If medicine has been prescribed, the goal is to reduce its  consumption and to ease any of its lingering side effects. After being treated most patients report a sense of calm and deep relaxation. Approximately 5-10 treatments, along with a few simple lifestyle shifts, are normally required for favorable results. For anxiety and stress, acupuncture is a viable solution.
