OLD AND NEW SYSTEMS OF HEALING

It is part of my job, as someone who uses both old and new systems of healing, to be a psychic post-it-note. I remind my patients/clients that we all possess resources for repair. This happens when a primal memory of how healthy we could be—a healing ‘switch,’ if you will–has been turned on.

In this scenario, we displace the concept of authority figures for that of co-pilots working co-operatively.  The healer is a facilitator in the client’s own healing process.  This is not about relinquishing responsibility, but about energizing the client to actively participate in his/her own positive, life-changing process.

—-Everyday, I get healthier and happier (and whatever other qualifications you want to increase in your life).

As a practitioner I utilize two different, yet often interlinked, methods in my New York clinic: Acupuncture and hypnosis. People often ask how these two seemingly disparate modalities are connected. I can think of no other melding of healing structures that so align to create a synergistic healing strategy.

—-My body is healing itself and the cells of my body are constantly “giving birth” to new healthy cells.

Acupuncture addresses energetic imbalances that manifest as physical ailment. These imbalances show up in any number of ways, including pain, GI issues, infertility and immune deficiency conditions. To this list we may add emotional issues, including depression, stress, anxiety and insomnia.

Hypnosis addresses many of the conditions that acupuncture does and then some.  While acupuncture uses tiny pins to stimulate the immune system, hypnosis accesses the power of the mind to create change. And the mind, once mobilized, is capable of doing amazing things.

-My body is constantly healing itself every day and every moment.

These affirmations are to be said aloud or written for ten minutes or more, before going to sleep and upon waking.  Use one exclusively or alternate several of them in a way that feels congruent with who you are and how you wish to be. Preferably, the affirmation is said with an inner smile (smiling inwardly to oneself) and an outer one as well.

—-Every little cell in my body is happy; every little cell in my body is well.

—-I am connected with the life force and always have enough

energy  and vitality to be completely healthy and happy.

To Your Health.
